Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte protein 4 (CTLA4), also known as CD152, is a protein receptor on the surface of activated T-cells. CTLA4 binds to CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2) on the cell surface of antigen presenting cells to down-regulate T cell function.
